Harvest Fest at the Fortunati’s

Our family is so busy that we can only get together (ALL of us) once every 3 months. So, for the fall gathering, we met at Dean and Christina’s in Antelope for what we’ve called the “Harvest Fest.” We had fancy shmancy appetizers, really good soup and salads, and then ventured out to the neighborhood pumpkin farm. The kids had a great time – hayrides, slides, corn maze, the “Haunted Barn,” and lots of pumpkins to choose from. We were all dirty, tired, and hungry (again) by the time we got home. The LeRoys visit Paris, Oct 2006

Dave and I took a short, but eventful trip to Paris last week. Dave had been to Paris twice, many years ago, and I had never been. We took a Thursday AM flight from San Jose to Dallas, and on to Paris, arriving Friday morning 9:30am Paris time. We only had 4 days to spend in the city, so we had to walk fast, look fast, and lose sleep! Santa Cruz Sentinel Triathlon

One year after my last triathlon I headed back to one of my favorite races, Santa Cruz Sentinel. If it weren’t for the chilly water I would call it the perfect olympic distance course. Of course Heather made the water look inviting in her early dawn picture. We spent a relaxing Saturday evening in Santa Cruz visiting our friend Gregg. Early Sunday morning we headed over the the Santa Cruz pier for the race. I had absolutely no expectations since my season had been completely disrupted by a back flare up.
