A few pictures of the boys from Christmas day.

Visions of motorcycles dancing in his head! This year was a big motorcycle theme to all the presents. Current career path is professional motorcycle racer!

Plum Pudding

It’s an annual tradition at our house to go to Grandma and Grandpa’s house for a little party and then head to church for the Plum Pudding celebration. This year, Kevin got to play with his cousins and see how gingerbread houses are made (below left). His other favorite thing at the grandparents house is the talking Christmas tree. He’s too scared to get it started, but once it starts singing and swaying, Kevin breaks into an animated set of dance moves

Ryan was also a big hit at the party. He and his cousin Taryn got into a major stare down. I’m not sure who eventually won. Ryan looks a little scared of his uncle Kim (below right) but by the end of the night they were best buddies!

Uncle Kim loaned Kevin his old sport coat. He really seemed to enjoy dressing up and posed for quite a few pictures with his little brother and the family in front of the Christmas tree.

After a big dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s house we headed over to church where Kevin enjoyed coloring with his cousins, watching the choir and eating lots of cookies! Meanwhile his little brother was mesmerized by all the Christmas lights. He didn’t cry the whole time we were there, just stared at the lights

The last part of the evening was a children’s story. Kevin watched the slideshow intently that went with the narration (below right).

Kevin’s first Christmas

Kevin was very busy over the holidays. First was a trip to his Uncle Dean’s and Aunt Christina’s in Sacramento for an early Christmas get together with the family. He loved all the attention he got from his cousins.

Next was the Christmas day get together at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Grandma bought Kevin a Santa Claus sleepsack and Kevin modeled his new outfit for everyone. Nanny also bought Kevin a holiday outfit that might not cause Kevin quite as much embarrassment if he wears it in public.

Finally on New Years Day, we had a few folks over for a little football watching party and Kevin borrowed a friend’s tiara to be the Prince of New Years for the day.

Through the holidays Kevin has continued to grow like a weed and learn some new “tricks” along the way. We started feeding him rice cereal and that seemed to make him suddenly realize he has a tongue. He also seems consciously aware that he can make sounds…so he loves to make noise for hours on end. Mom needs some Advil after a few hours of Kevin practicing his vocals! Below is a little video of Kevin and his tricks.
